Saving your bookmarks online plugin for Firefox and Internet Explorer

About a month ago I had to do a full recovery on my computer. It was the hardest thing to do since I had a lot of creative drawings, photos, video tutorials ect. So needless to say my lesson was back up back up back up! And of course buy an external that backs up your stuff at night.(more on that on the next blog.)

Luckly I was able to recover my bookmarks which I use frequently by using this plugin called Xmarks which went by the name fox marks. If your a die hard Internet Explorer fan Xmarks has added the a IE compatable version of the plugin.

Anyway how this plugin works is you create a user and a password and it syncs(copies your favorites to their server) to what bookmarks you have and backs up your bookmarks on their server. The best part is your out of town on someone else's computer your able to login and view your bookmarks.

Check this out if lets say you had to do a reinstall you just go back and reinstall the xmarks plugin, login and update your bookmarks and its like you never lost them.

So now when you tell someone you found a cool website and you bookmarked it you can retrevie it online with no problems. I believe also you can share your bookmarks page for your friends to view as well so its a pretty cool favorites plugin.

So check it out Xmarks.com
